Meritorious Service Awards:
|
Steve
Burinsky
|
 |
A new member of the Board of Directors this past season, Steve has
become a Junior National Referee, and Vice President of the Region all
in one year. As Vice President, Steve accepted the additional responsibility
of coordinating and running all of the Adult and Junior Regional Championship
Tournaments. Whether we choose to congratulate him for his courage or offer
pity for his insanity, his efforts have truly proved to be deserving of
the Meritorious Service Award. Congratulations on your banner
year Steve Burinsky, and a job well done. |

Rich
Wilson |
|
Rich is an incredibly productive man who has the ability to get things
done – and done well. As Junior Girls' Program administrator he has spent
countless hours working to bring balance and perspective to the Junior
Development Program. He has also spent those same countless hours instructing
your Commissioner on every thing there is to know about Junior Development.
For this I am very appreciative. The Chesapeake Region is pleased to honor
Rich Wilson with this Meritorious Service Award. |

Regional Commissioner's Awards:
|
Wanda
Hsiung
|
 |
Wanda has been the Region's Registrar for ten years. Each year,
she spends countless hours performing the duties of the Registrar.
As a result of her long history with CHRVA, she has, at times, been able
to serve as the Region's Walking Encyclopedia, demonstrating an impressive
wealth of knowledge relating to our history and operations.
On numerous occasions, members have been referred to Wanda for much
more than the typical registration questions. Individuals contact
her for assistance throughout the year. Her biggest fans are players
who knock on her door at 1:00 or 2:00 AM either because they are late with
their registrations or because an injury has made it necessary to quickly
register another player. CHRVA gratefully acknowledge ten years of
dedicated service as the Chesapeake Region Registrar. Wanda Hsiung is the
worthy recipient of the Regional Commissioner's Award. |
