Board Of Directors Election Results

     Elections were held at the annual CHRVA General Membership meeting on Sunday, May 6, 2001, at the Fairfax Government Center Building, for the eight (8) Board seats available in 2001.  Please see Board Membership and Composition for descriptions of the various seats that comprise the CHRVA Board.  To find out which Board seats were up for re-election in 2001, please look at 2001 Available Seats .  Details of the election process can be found in Article VII of the CHRVA Bylaws.  For more information on the slate of candidates, please check out the 2001 CHRVA Board of Directors Election Candidates

     Candidates for the eight (8) available seats on the Board included five (5) incumbents.

Candidates Nominated Prior to the April 1, 2001 Deadline
    Steve Burinsky (Incumbent)
    Dixie Collins (Incumbent)
    Lisa DiGiacinto
    Charles Ezigbo (Incumbent)
    Arlene L. Geppi
    Bruce Krafte
    Karol Shadle (Incumbent)
    Scott Shipley
    Karan J. Sorensen
    Eugene Yee (Incumbent)
     Since there were more candidates (10) than available seats (8) identified by the April 1, 2001 deadline, nominations were not accepted from the floor during the meeting. 
 
     Registered members of CHRVA in attendance at the General Membership Meeting were asked to vote for at most eight (8) of the ten (10) candidates for the Board of Directors.  Following a tally of the vote, the following candidates were elected to the CHRVA Board of Directors for a 2-year term beginning 4/30/2001
