2001 USA Volleyball Championships

 The 2001 USA Volleyball National Championships will be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, May 26 through June 2. Any teams wishing to participate in the upcoming event should note the following information:

Schedules for individual Men’s, Women’s, and Co-Ed Tournaments are listed below:

MAY 26 through MAY 29 (Saturday to Tuesday)

Open Tournaments
Club Tournaments — A and AA
Masters Tournaments — 35 and over and 45 and over
Seniors Tournaments — 55 and over, 65 and over, and 75 and over
Regular and Reverse Co-Ed Tournaments—B/BB (Monday, May 28 and Tuesday May 29 only)
Special Olympics National Unified Championships (Saturday, May 26 and Sunday May 27 only)
MAY 30 through June 2 (Wednesday to Saturday)
Club Tournaments — B and BB
Masters Tournaments — 30 and over and 40 and over
Seniors Tournaments — 50 and over, 60 and over, and 70 and over
Regular and Reverse Co-Ed Tournaments — A/AA (Wednesday, May 30 and Thursday, May 31 only)
Disabled (Sitting Volleyball) National Invitational Championships

     The Pre-Tournament Manual for the 2001 USA Volleyball Championships is now available. I will be happy to send you a copy of the manual if you e-mail me at anne.hughes@chrva.org or call me at 703-451-3082.  You may also download the online version of the manual

     The tournament entry deadlines are March 28, 2001 for the Open tournaments and April 11, 2001 for the Club, Masters, Seniors, and Co-Ed tournaments. The entry fees per team are;

$850 for the Open tournaments;
$750 for the Club, Masters and Seniors tournaments; and
$250 for the Regular and Reverse Co-Ed tournaments.
    Please remember that the CHRVA Commissioner must verify all entry forms. Therefore, when you complete your form, send the original to me as soon as possible.  My address is 6423 Julian Street, Springfield, VA 22150.  After I have provided a verification signature, I will forward your verified entry form to the USA Volleyball National Office.

     All checks should be made payable to USA Volleyball Championships Event and mailed, along with a copy of your entry form, to USA Volleyball, c/o Volleyball Championships, 715 S. Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80910. If you have any additional questions, please call 719-228-6800. FAXES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

     Last, but not least, the maximum number of teams that will be accepted into this year’s USA Club, Masters, and Seniors tournaments is 240 per session. Register early. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet and compete against players from all over the country.
