Congratulations to our entire Junior and Adult
Community Regional winners and good luck to all club, age-group, and seniors
teams participating at this year’s Nationals in Dallas.
The indoor season is over, and it is now time
to enjoy beach volleyball! On the Eastern Shore from Rehoboth Beach,
Delaware to Ocean City, Maryland, beach tournaments will be held throughout
the summer. It seems every weekend, in fact, there is a tournament
in Ocean City. If you are heading to the beach, simply check out
our CHRVA website for more information on outdoor tournament opportunities.
There are many great sites listed. Log on to http://www.chrva.org,
go to the “Contact Information” section, and click on the last link
called “Other Volleyball Related Links”. The direct URL is
http://www.chrva.org/othrlnks.html.
Enjoy. You can always find a tourney to play in no matter where you
live or how far you would like to travel.
One last word, and then I am off to the beach.
Hopefully, our Team Representatives and any other interested members will
take the time before the 2002-2003 season begins to review our new handbook.
It is definitely worth the reading and can make life so much easier if
members have a better understanding of the Region’s current policies and
procedures. The handbook was provided in hard copy to all Team Representatives,
but it is also conveniently posted on our website at http://www.chrva.org/hbookindx.html
for easy access 24 hours a day. If for some reason, your team did
not receive its hard copy, please contact Wanda Hsiung (our Registrar)
at registrar@chrva.org, and she
will be happy to send out a copy. For future reference, every spring/summer,
the Board considers proposals to change items in the Handbook. Please
contact the relevant Board and/or Staff members overseeing the issue you
would like to address, and they should be able to provide guidance on how
to proceed with a proposal.
