The 2003 Election of the Board of Directors was conducted by mail ballot
for the second year in a row. Results were announced at the May 5,
2003 General Membership Meeting. This year, there was a 75% increase
in voting over last year, the first year of mail balloting.
There were 10 candidates seeking to fill eight Board positions.
In total, there are 15 members of the Board of Directors who each serve
two-year terms. Eight are elected in odd-numbered years, and seven
are elected in even-numbered years.
The six incumbent Directors who were re-elected this year are:
Julie Briggs, Steve Burinsky, Dixie Collins, Lisa DiGiacinto, Charles Ezigbo,
and Eugene Yee. There were two new Directors elected this year:
Bob Trinsey and Chip Zimmer.
