2003 CHRVA Regional Championships - Results
Rod Anderson, Vice President - rod.anderson@chrva.org
This year, 254 teams (217 teams last year) vied for the top spot in 26 divisions on 52 courts.  Trophies were awarded to first and second place teams and individuals.  The adults had an added incentive in vying for a spot on the six-person all-tournament team.  Each all-tournament team had a Most Valuable Player.  These players were selected by their peers as well as the Tournament Directors as the best of the best!  Also recognized were the season Point Champions for each adult division.  Congratulations to all!

All regional tournaments were conducted at the Discovery Sports Center except for girls 18 and under.  Thanks go to Lisa DiGiacinto and her club for hosting and directing the 18 and under event.

The CHRVA Championships are the centerpiece of the Region's program each year.  Thanks to all the players and supporters for making this year's Championships a big success!  Thanks also to our volunteer tournament staff, specifically Dixie and Harry Collins, Eugene Yee, Diane Abood, Julie Briggs, Arlene Geppi, Jake Barkdoll, Linda Saydam, Skip Slawson, JoBeth Killough, Lisa DiGiacinto, Karol Shadle, Anne Hughes, and Wanda Hsiung.  Joe Spellman also provided much appreciated assistance.

Pictures and detailed results will be posted on the Region’s website at http://www.chrva.org/rgsched.html.  A summary of the results follows.  Scroll down the page or use the links.
