Information for Junior Girl's Tournament Hosts

A reminder that
the 2002-2003 Girls Junior Volleyball season will be here before you know
it. Starting this season, the proposed tournament dates are due earlier
than in the past. To reclaim your Historical Priority Date, you must submit
a request to me by SEPTEMBER 30, 2002. Failure to do so will put your date
on the “first come, first served list.” Other tournament dates in the “first
come, first served” category must be submitted by OCTOBER 15, 2002. Guidelines
for sanctioning and hosting tournaments will be approved in accordance
with the rules and procedures set forth in the current CHRVA Handbook.
The junior leadership would like to present
a schedule to Club Directors at the start-up meeting in early November.
We cannot do this unless we have dates and sites available. Those clubs
that have not hosted a tournament in the past will be highly encouraged
to do so this season.
When requesting Historical Priority Dates,
please provide the following information: the 2001-2002 date, site, age
group, and number of teams that participated. Also include the upcoming
2002-2003 date, site, age group and proposed number of teams. Please follow
up the request with a completed Sanction Form for validation. Similarly,
when requesting a Tournament Date, provide a 2002-2003 date, site, age
group, and number of teams. Follow up the request with a completed Sanction
Form for validation. The Sanction Form can be found on the Junior’s webpage
at http://www.chrvajuniors.com.
When requesting dates, send me your club name,
contact, email address, and/or fax number. If you are no longer the tournament
host/director for your club, please pass this information to the appropriate
