2002-2003 USAV REGISTRATION INFORMATION
To begin, I’d
like to thank Wanda Hsiung, 1989-2002 CHRVA Registrar, for her hard work
and dedication to our Region and to the sport of volleyball as the Registrar
for the past 13 years. Although she is no longer the Registrar, she will
continue her involvement in the Region as a player, coach, club director,
and on the CHRVA Board of Directors. I can only hope that I will be able
to fill the shoes of such an outstanding volunteer. Because it is my first
season in the job, I ask for your patience and understanding as I learn
the many facets of this position.
IMPORTANT NOTE: For all members, the
2002-2003 season begins November 1, 2002. Each individual must
be registered (whether affiliated with a team or not) before participating
in an event (including Fellowship tournaments) after October 31, 2002.
The full membership registration fees for
individuals and teams for the 2002-2003 season are as follows:
$20.00 Collegiate (college student on a collegiate team)
$35.00 Adult Regular (any adult player, coach, official, or booster)
$30.00 Junior Volleyball Athlete (high school age and below)
$40.00 Team fee (adult regular, conglomerate, collegiate, junior volleyball)
To register a team or as an individual,
team and/or individual membership forms and fees must be submitted to the
Registrar at least five (5) days prior to participation in a sanctioned
event. On-site registration is only permitted at Fellowship tournaments.
The 2002-2003 registration forms will be available
on the CHRVA website upon arrival from the National Office. Instructions
for completion of the forms will also be included. Once the registration
forms are online, you may download and print the forms for your use. Otherwise,
registration packets may be requested by completing the form provided on
the CHRVA website or by sending the request in an email to registrar@chrva.org.

The registration forms and packets will be
available by mid or late September. It would be best if you wait for the
forms to be posted on the website instead of requesting a packet to be
sent via snail mail. Teams are registered in the order in which the completed
team registration forms are received by the Registrar. However, the
process of registering teams will not commence until November 1, 2002.
Who must register with USAV? There are two
types of memberships: “Full” and “Limited.” Any player, coach, chaperone,
official, trainer, or anyone who will be sitting on the bench during tournament
play more than one day/event must register with a full membership. Limited
memberships are a reduced rate ($10.00) and cover an individual’s participation
during one day or event (e.g. Fellowship tournaments). An individual may
upgrade from a limited membership to a full membership.
