Junior Journal
Charles Ezigbo, Junior Girl's Program Director
Reflecting over my first season as the Junior Girl’s Director, I wish to take a moment to extend a big THANK YOU to those on my team who have helped make it a smooth season. Not only did they help us achieve our pre-defined goals, this group of dedicated individuals went far beyond the call of duty in most cases to administer to your needs as well as assist me with mine.

Amanda Moran (Administrator), Arlene Geppi (Competition Coordinator), and Lisa DiGiacinto (Ethics Chair), are those who help me almost daily. The coordinators: Skip Slawson (13/14), Jackie Krampf (15/16), Amelia Jeffries (17/18), and Joe Spellman (Seedings) are the people who do the day-to-day “grunt” work that often goes unnoticed.

The same team will, for the most part, return next season. The only difference would be that Arlene Geppi will serve as Administrator and Competition Coordinator and Amanda Moran will move back to her role as 17/18 coordinator.  Although Amanda was quite happy in the coordinator’s role the prior season, she gave up that position, at my request, in order to help fill a need elsewhere in the program. Her comment to me at that time was “whatever the program needs me to do, I’ll do it.”  This is the basic attitude of this entire group of great volunteers! This Region is lucky to have such a corps of folks who care and go to bat for the Juniors program time and time again. So the next time you see or correspond with one of these individuals, it never hurts to say THANKS. That’s what keeps me going, and I’m sure it keeps them going as well.
