SWVC Women Medal in Senior Games

Our Senior Women’s Volleyball Club (SWVC) teams have been very active since USAV Nationals in Milwaukee, sending multiple teams to both the National Senior Games in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in July and the World Huntsman Games in St. George, Utah this October.

In Baton Rouge, our Maryland 55’s Senior Olympic Team named Code Blue cruised to the finals where we placed second after losing to Thunder Mountain of California. We certainly like to think of volleyball as a life long sport, and we tremendously enjoyed ourselves.

Some of you may even remember a few of our teammates, Joan Delpi and Kay Stainner, of the old Baltimore Bullets. At the Huntsman World Games, SWVC’s 50’s team Vertical Challenge brought home a gold medal in the Silver Division. SWVC Code Blue placed third in the 55’s Division. There seems to be no break in the action as we now start preparing for the CHRVA tournament season!

If you are looking for more details regarding our SWVC program, would like some guidance about starting your own team, or simply want additional information about seniors-related volleyball events, please do not hesitate to contact us at:
sr.womens.coord@chrva.org (Adrienne Lees) or
sr.mens.coord@chrva.org (Leo Buscher)
     See you on the courts!
