The Chesapeake Region would like to express its deepest sympathy to the family of George William Lucas who passed away on October 9, 2002.  “Moose” was elected to the Maryland Softball Hall of Fame and competed in United States Championships in three sports—volleyball, slow pitch softball, and fast pitch softball.  To those of us who knew him, his passing leaves a void that will never be filled.  Goodbye, Old Friend.
