Many teams lack a sufficient number of players to attend Nationals.  In addition, there are many players who would like to compete at Nationals but have no team.  This page has been created to assist players and teams desiring to attend Nationals.  It is similar in concept to our Player Search Forum but will only be supported on a short term basis.  If you would like to add an entry to the page, please send your requirements to the Website Administrator (usavchr@chrva.org).
The Slime Devils (women's A) are looking for a hitter and setter for Nationals.  Slime Devils runs many fund raisers during the year so that some (or all) of the trip would be paid for.  Contact Phyllis Coleman for more information.  She does not have email.  However, her phone numbers are:

Tom Moore is eager and available to play and can be at Columbus the whole time.  Tom is a hitter/blocker and would like to play 75s, and could also play in the 70s if anyone needs a good player.  He can be there the whole time.  He is a good team player and a person with a good attitude who would be a real asset to a team.

Alvin Smith (Al) has been the Team Rep for the Colorado 70s team at US Opens and Senior Olympics for years.  He is a setter, but plays hitter as well, depending on what is needed.  He definitely would like to play on a 75s team, but could also play in the 70s if anyone needs a player.  He will be in Columbus the whole time.  (He has asked to be put on the roster of our Men's 60s team and they have agreed to do that.  However, the Team Rep for our Men's 60s says they already have enough players, and we all think Al could be convinced to play on a 70s team where he will get more play). But he definitely wants on a 75s team.

Outsiders (MBB) is looking for a fairly strong BB middle or outside hitter that would be interested in playing in the National tournament.  The trip is paid for and hotel rooms are already booked, so price would be reasonable.  Any interested parties should contact me for more information.

My name is Clara Gath.  I will be in Columbus for Nationals the whole week.  I have a women's 40+ team already but this year I did not organize for the second half.  I would be interested to help out a team if needed.  I am a setter/defense player.  I am 5'2" and 48 years old but play very young.

I would be interested in a BB club team or a 45 age team.  I am easy to get along with and I remember previously playing with a team that I had never met before.  We ended up with a medal, that was a thrill!!!

I live in Southern California.  We will be staying at the Hyatt and arrive on Friday afternoon and will set up a practice session at 9pm for my team.

Please let me know if you need a player for Nationals.

Lori Kumler will be in Columbus for the first half of Nationals and is looking to play for a Women's 30's team.  I normally play AA but cannot play during the second half of nationals.  I am a 5'9" outside hitter but am willing to play other positions--I'd just love to have the chance to play.

My name is Jim Barnes and I am an outside hitter on a "AA" team called HiJinks during the USVBA season.  I plan to be in Columbus on business the week of Nationals so I can attend most of the parties.

I don't want to play the whole time but would love to get a game or two in if possible. If not, that's OK because I will hopefully still find some parties to attend.

Keep that in mind if anyone needs another player or if someone gets hurt. I can be reached at 703-464-1333 or 301-367-2772.

At least call me if you know of any good parties.

Thanks...Jim
