Changes to U18 Regional Championship Events

There are significant changes in the 2016 Girls' Junior National Championships that impacts CHRVA Regional Championships. This affects 18s only. The Open, USA and National divisions of GJNCs will be held on April 30th – May 1st in Milwaukee. The American division will be held with the rest of GJNCs in Indianapolis between June 22nd and July 3rd. Consequently, CHRVA will be holding its 18s Regional Championships early. 18's Open and Club girls' Regional Championships will be held on March 13, 2016. The winner of Opens earns a National bid to Milwaukee while the runner up earns an American bid to GJNCs in Indianapolis.

Potential Dates for 2016/2017 Regionals

April 9 & 10 – 15, 16, 17

April 23 & 24 – 11, 12, 13, 14

These dates are subject to change.

[ Due to the high cost in involved in using the convention centers, CHRVA will not be returning to the convention center for Regionals ]

Although it is not a requirement, it is a nice thing to remember to do when the other team is hitting!

Safety, Well-Being of USAV Members a Top Priority (Read more ...)

USA Volleyball and our Regional Volleyball Associations have always believed the safety and well-being of its members is a top priority. We will continue to explore every measure under our control to protect all members on and off the court and implement a zero tolerance policy for any conduct or behavior violations. On July 27, ESPN’s Outside the Lines revisited the important issue of safety in youth sports – and volleyball in particular. Their coverage was a bold reminder that the time is now for ALL sport organizations to institute, strengthen, enforce and diligently monitor policies concerning reporting misconduct, inappropriate behavior and cases of abuse. Protecting the youth and the athletes must be a priority to us all. USA Volleyball will continue to find ways to ensure that those who violate the principles of fair play and USOC SafeSport will have no place within our organization.

Play Positive

The Liberty Mutual Insurance "Play Positive" program is committed to promoting good sportsmanship in youth sports so that our kids have the fun and positive experience they deserve.

USA Volleyball & SafeSport

Committed to Safety for All Participants

The safety of its participants is of paramount importance to USA Volleyball. USA Volleyball has ZERO TOLERANCE for abuse and misconduct.

This includes not only on-court safety, but also off-court safety in any part of USA Volleyball’s programs. USA Volleyball is committed to creating safe and fun environments for youth. This includes, but not limited to, providing training, educational materials and resources for our regions, clubs, coaches, parents and athletes.
